I enjoyed the time we spent talking about parenting. I am really nervous to be a parent some day, so I really enjoy when we talk about things that will help me. We talked about some principles that I thought was really neat. Principles of communication how we can better communicate with are kids, 1 listen. 2 Respond to feeling, 3 look for alternatives/ evaluate consequences, 4 offer encouragement, 5 follow up later

·      Styles of parenting

There are three styles, first authoritarian is were the parent exercises maximum control and expect unquestioning obedience. Second styles Authoritative this style is to put boundaries on acceptable behavior within a warm, accepting content. Third is Permissive, the approach is minimize any control. The best type to be is authoritative.
